What a rollercoaster ride...
A brilliant experience and the end of an amazing week for me. A massive THANK YOU to everyone & there have been many people who have been on this journey with me. Last night at the Hawthorns was truly a great night! It all started at the Hawthorns Open-Mic nights last August and very quickly moved forward for me with the support of other musicians and opportunities.
I am really enjoying my music path and performing, recording etc. One of my fans wrote on their page "Off to the single release party of this young gem tonight (the guy is only 16, writes all his own stuff, is self taught guitar player, and his a pretty recognisable voice....) I can only hope he will still know me once he is on the big stage. We met during the floods and now he is heading for a tsunami of fans (yes...screaming girls)" A&P V-P
We streamed live over Facebook which has attracted 100's of views, I like that we had people from around the globe there tonight too. My high light was my final song playing with Ben Kench, my guitar teacher & mentor also Robin Davey who are the musicians on the track also of Safehaus a wonderful collaboration and end to the evening. Safehaus have just come off an Italian tour this week. Our support act Tom Dummer was ill with tonsillitis so Flo Parker kindly stepped in at the last minute. The audience enjoyed the evening and the food was fantastic though I did not have the famous curry this time.
The Video shot & edited by John Willment-Knowles for On A Train was a fun day in London a couple of weeks ago incorporating night scapes from LA & San Diego. The story behind the song is that I met a girl on a train coming home from London at night who end up sitting with us we chatted she was inspiring and very beautiful and asked me to write a song about her. So, when I got home I wrote her the song, sadly she could not be in the video due to logistics.
What's next? focusing on my GCSE's lots of revising, hopefully some studio time for another release early 2017 then either an EP or may be an album
Young chap finding his feet, likes the finer things but on a lemonade budget, for now!
